New Caddy TGI with Bluemotion Technology to premiere in Geneva.
The International Show taking place in Geneva this week is the place that Volkswagen will present for the first time to the public the Caddy TGI Bluemotion.
Caddy TGI Bluemotion, which runs on either CNG or bio-natural gas, is going to be the first vehicle in its category to be fitted with a dual-clutch gearbox.
Both Caddy and Caddy Maxi TGI Bluemotion are equipped with high-pressure tanks specifically designed to hold compressed natural gas.
These tanks, which hold a combined 26kg of CNG (37kg for the Caddy Maxi) are mounted under the floor, meaning that the remaining cargo space didn't change at all (up to 3,200cu m in the Caddy and up to 4,130cu m in the Caddy Maxi).
The CO2 emissions of the Caddy TGI amount to 112g/km in the short-wheelbase version and 116g/km in the Caddy Maxi version in combination with the six-speed manual gearbox, and 123 g/km* and 126 g/km*, respectively, with DSG (*= provisional data).
