Let me tell you about our company.
Who we are
The family firm of Capels started as a dealership for Standard and Bedford vehicles in 1945. Now a freelance dealership, we moved to our present 4 acre site in Fair View garage, Pengam in 1967 where we now provide a range of commercial services as well as van and 4x4 sales.
On that site today, you will meet Colin Capel and me, Howard, along with other members of the sales and commercial services team such as Anthony O'Keefe and Gill Lindley.
Our sales team have wide experience in driving just about any vehicle you might be interested in. This would be true for vans, 4x4's right through to pickups and tippers; all of which we supply at Capels. As an example, one of us has probably driven the model of 4x4 you're considering over both the smooth stuff and the rough stuff, and so we'll be able to tell you from experience how that vehicle would perform for you.
Anthony is our main van man. He will put you right on the good bits and the quirky bits of just about any van or truck you care to name. He'll even provide you with a cup of tea in our comfy, purpose-built showroom. In our Admin Office, Gill will steer you through the finance, the paperwork and the warranties with such ease that you'll find it to be one of the fun parts of buying your vehicle from us.
What we do
We specialise in supplying you with the vehicle of your choice, New or used, as well as a fully comprehensive commercial services. This may be a vehicle from our extensive stock, or one we have found that matches what you have asked us for. We'll search for the vehicle you want at no extra cost to you.
We offer our high level of maintenance and quality service to other operators of commercial vehicles. We can handle vehicles from Transit-sized vans upwards.

How we can help you
We can help you in three main ways.

By providing you with 40 years' worth of experience, and an extensive knowledge of any vehicle you might be considering. We will advise you without bias and without pressure whether it be sales or repairs.

By providing you with a reliable, 'honest' vehicle. Our used stock is mainly what the trade calls 'second stage', not third or beyond. We know the origin and service history of all the vehicles we supply, and ensure that they come to you with an HPI, service, and full condition report. If any of these features are not present with a vehicle, it's reflected in the price.

By providing you with best value, whether you're buying new or used. Best value isn't always the cheapest option available, but with us, it usually works out that way.
Brand new vehicles usually cost less at Capels, where overheads are lower. The standard of warranties, after-sales, and service remain the same as for main dealers.
Most of our 'A' line stock is transferred to us from leasing companies such as BT, Renault, Transco and Fiat. As such, all carry a full, main dealer service history. I'll be happy to provide you with the history of any vehicle you are interested in.
